 Yogacharini Sonia Allen-Wall has been searching for a 'raisen d'etre' since childhood. At 19 years, Sonia became the youngest trained Samaritan under the guidance of the founder,Chad Varah.

Although a trained fashion designer, Sonia's interest in alternative medicine led her to qualify as a clinical reflexologist, Yoga therapist, Bates practitioner and student of Ayurveda.

Sonia has studied many styles of Hatha Yoga and as a natural theosophist has been inspired by masters of all paths

'Yogacharini Sonia Allen-Wall is one of the senior teachers of Richiculture Ashtanga Yoga (Gitinananda Yoga) in the United Kingdom today.

She undertook the 52 Lesson Correspondance Course, Yoga: Step By Step under the direct supervision of Yogamaharishi Dr. Swami Gitananda Giri himself in 1987-1988. Swamiji was so impressed with her work that he awarded her the title Yogacharini and 'Yoga Correspondance Course Student of the Year 1987-88'

Awareness of breath (pranayama)

Awareness of the senses (pratyhara)

Awareness of emotional and mental states (dhyana)

Awareness of energetics (the subtle systems)

Awareness of awareness itself (dharana leading to samadi)

Sonia has since stimulated nearly 20 of her own students to undergo this excellent correspondence course in the last 15 years. All have submitted outstanding work as per the requirements of the course, proving her excellent guidance.
